Continuous and Innovative R&D - with TISTR Service & Rangsit University
Based on the analysis of Plautawan powder by gas chromatography technique, it is found that Plautawan contains Plaunotol extract 2.21 ± 0.17 gram per kilogram by weight (Analysis by Dr. Ph.D. Associate Professor Amon Pechsom, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, 2003). This analysis highlights the difference between Plaunoii (Croton stellatopilosus Ohba), which is being used to heal grotrosis-related symptoms in global marketplace. With our strong commitment for continuous R&D, we have engaged Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) to further study Plautawan and found interesting research results as follows;
Munostimulant activity of Plaudeung (Croton thorelii Gagnep).
Acute Oral Toxicity Test (Limit Test) of "Plaudeang (Croton thorelii Gagnep).
Based on research results, Plaudeang (Croton thorelii Gagnep) at dose 3,200 mg/kg bodu weight significantly increases humoral immune response when compared to the control group. The value of HA tire of the Levamisole hydrochloride and Plaudeang (Croton thorelii Gagnep) were 320 and 341 respectively and also no acute oral toxicity. In 2006, REDDIAMOND received cooperation from student of pharmacy faculty of Rangsit University in studying the cytotoxic activity of Thai fruits and Plautawan on Cholangiocarcinoma and found that alcoholic extract of Plao Tawan showed 50-55% cytotoxic activity against cholangiocarcinoma cell which is more than other fruit extract.
